Target audience:
Companies able to demonstrate that:
- Their main activity, accounting for more than half of revenue, is first-stage processing of wood, including companies specialising in processing products for energy production, e.g. logs, chips, pellets and wood charcoal
- Their registered office is located in the Grand Est region
- They meet the EU definition of small, medium or large company
- They are up to date with all tax and social security obligations
- They have or are committed to implementing an employee training plan
- They have joined a control chain certification programme: PEFC, FSC or any other equivalent certification body
- They have a procurement plan specifying the company’s supply radius and the average wood purchase price
Objectives:
- To modernise the plant of regional companies in order to facilitate takeover, transfer and competitiveness
- To support the companies in the sector, mostly family-run SMEs
- To locally commercialise abundant forestry resources and combat logs being exported outside the region
- To maintain and develop rural jobs associated with wood first-stage processing
- To improve operator safety
